DON'T BANK ON APARTHEID

Barclays is bankrolling Israel’s genocide of Palestinians, holding over £2 billion in shares and providing £6.1 billion in loans and underwriting to companies whose weapons, components and military technology are used by Israel in its assault on Palestinians. These anti-Barclays credit cards are designed to raise awareness, get people to switch banks, and credit Barclays with funding Israel’s genocide of Palestinians. If you want to help encourage the BDS boycott, these cards are available to request – see the full campaign for more details.

TRANSPORT FOR GAZA

Don’t you just hate it when the tube stops mid-journey? Dark tunnels, the lights flicker on and off. But what if they turned off completely? Rubble outside the carriage, rubble inside the carriage. Until you couldn’t breathe, or see, or get out. But you live in London. Not Gaza. So it’s not your problem. Right?

These public transport posters are designed to keep Palestine in public view. Catching the tube after a demonstration, the idea came about. Following Israel’s murder of Palestinian poet and writer, Refaat Alareer, this campaign continued with a takeover of Poems on the Underground. See the campaign to request a poster of his poem, ‘If I must die’. See the campaign to get your own advert to put up in the tube, complete with a how-to manual.

"AS LONG AS IT TAKES.
WHEN DO YOU GIVE UP ON THE KIDS?"

- BRIAN HAW

As Long As It Takes, 2022 (Aluminium, Steel, Tarpaulin)

AS LONG AS IT TAKES pays homage to activist Brian Haw for his decade-long, unyielding protest against British foreign policy in Afghanistan and Iraq. Leaving his work and family, Brian camped in Parliament Square 24/7 for almost ten years, with placards 'Stop killing our kids’ and ‘Iraq 2,000,000 dead, 4,000,000 fled’. When asked how long he would continue his one-man demonstration for, his response was: “As long as it takes. When do you give up on the kids?”.

His dedication and commitment to justice was unparalleled, and his legacy is one that continues. AS LONG AS IT TAKES embodies his spirit of protest and pays homage to his dedication to justice. It began with a metal statue memorial to commemorate Brian, pictured in Parliament Square, where he stayed for the duration of his protest.

Since, his motto ‘As long as it takes’ rings true to a year of non-stop protesting and marching against the UK’s genocidal foreign policy in Palestine, Sudan and Congo. It speaks to the power of an individual against our government’s money and power-driven war machine; our duty to rise up against it.
