Hewlett-Packard provides computer hardware to the Israeli army and maintains data centres through their servers for the Israeli police. They provide the Itanium servers to operate the Aviv System, the computerized database of Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority – which forms the backbone of Israel’s racial segregation and apartheid.
Playing with the parody of a HP printer becoming self-aware, this project highlights HP’s role in Israel’s hi-tech genocide of Palestinians, as the printer reveals more about it's manufacturer. This video includes some graphic images that some viewers may find upsetting.
